Evan Rachel Wood: Marilyn Manson Abused Me

Actress Evan Rachel Wood has accused her ex-fiance, singer Marilyn Manson, of abusing her during their relationship.

The former couple first went public with their romance in 2007 – at the time, Wood was 19, while Manson was 38. In January 2010, they became engaged, but called it quits on their turbulent relationship later that year.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, 1 February, the 33-year-old “Westworld” actress revealed the name of an allegedly abusive ex-partner, whom she previously alluded to in a 2016 interview.

She wrote: “The name of my abuser is Brian Warner, also known to the world as Marilyn Manson. He started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years. I was brainwashed and manipulated into submission.”

Wood added: “I am done living in fear of retaliation, slander, or blackmail. I am here to expose this dangerous man and call out the many industries that have enabled him, before he ruins any more lives.”

Manson – who was immediately dropped by his record label, Loma Vista, in light of these allegations – strongly denies his ex-fiancee’s claims.
